The Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso has commended the Nigerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Jordan, Ambssador Taofeek Arapaja for working hard to protect the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians in Jordan.

Governor Kwakwanso gave this commendation at the end of his 2-day tour to the Middle East Aviation Technology and Jordan University of Science and Technology where he visited over 200 Kwakwasiyah students studying in Jordan with Kano State scholarship funds.

In a statement, Arapaja's Chief Media Officer, Kola Olakoge said in Ibadan on Tuesday that Governor Kwakwanso was impressed with the warm reception and welfare given him and his entourage while the visit lasted.

Governor Kwakanso said it is obvious that the way Ambassador Arapaja handles diplomatic relations had impacted positively on the image of Nigeria in the eye of the government and the people of Jordan.

Similarly, the Association of Nigerian Students in various universities in Jordan has described Ambassador Taofeek  Arapaja as  a committed welfarist, a nationalist who is effectively pursuing citizen diplomacy as espoused by President Goodluck Jonathan and his administration.

Speaking through its president, Comrade Edmund, the student's association said the envoy devotes time to regularly visit the students and this had been a morale booster and an avenue for students to interact   with the Ambassador who is always on hand to promptly address any challenges they may encounter in the course of their stay in Jordan.

Specifically, in a letter of appreciation written to the   Nigerian embassy, the students, especially, students at Royal Jordanian Air Academy, sponsored through the Federal Government Amnesty Programme commended Ambassador Arapaja for his untiring efforts in the promotion of welfare and security of students and for his speedy intervention towards
the payments of their outstanding stipends.

In the same vein, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), through its Secretary General, Musa Ahmadu has expressed a heart-felt appreciation to   the Ambassador for the hospitality and warm reception extended to the players, coaches and other officials of the Super Eagles Team B during a high profile international friendly Nigeria played against the senior National Soccer team of the Kingdom of Jordan in Amman, the capital of Jordan on Monday, 28th October, 2013.

He therefore said the NFF President and his entire management team thanked Arapaja for being a wonderful host to the team and officials of Super Eagles team B.
