ZAMBIA- Four people died while 12 others sustained serious injuries as a bus which they were traveling in somersaulted due to over speeding in Munyumabisi, 15 kilometres away from Monze District in Southern Province.  

The accident which happened earlier in the week around 23:00 hours involved a Higher Bus going from Kitwe to Sesheke in Western Province.

Police spokesperson Charity Chanda confirmed the accident, adding that the vehicle with registration number ALP 5118 was driven by one Joseph Kayombo, 41, of New Chibolya Township in Lusaka, while the conductor was among those slightly injured.

She said the bodies of the deceased are in Monze Mission Hospital mortuary while the injured were admitted to the same hospital.
