The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the last three standing players for the 2013 African Footballer of the Year Award.

CEOAFRICA sports desk gathered that Super Eagles and Chelsea FC of England Midfielder, John Obi Mikel, and the Ivorian pair of Yaya Toure (Man.City of England) and Didier Drogba (Galatasaray of Turkey) are the remaining candidates left in the race.

The winner will be announced at the GLO-CAF Awards Gala to be held in Lagos Nigeria, on January 9, 2014.

The other categories are as follows:

African Player of the Year (Based in Africa);

Sunday Mba-Nigeria

Ahmed Fathy-Egypt

National Team of the Year:

Stallions of Burkina Faso

Al Ahly (Egypt)

Fair Play Award:

Nigerian Supporters Club

 

Coach of the Year Award:

Manu Garba ( Nigeria U-17)

Stephen Keshi (Super Eagles of Nigeria)

Paul Put (Stallions of Burkina Faso)

Most Promising Talent:

Ebenezer Assifuah- Ghana

Saleh Gomaa –Egypt

Kelechi Iheanacho -Nigeria

Referee of the Year:
