NIGERIA (Oyo)- The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has stated that all public universities, including state owned, would benefit from the N220 billion intervention fund released by the Federal Government.

This was said yesterday in Ibadan by the Chairman of the Union, University of Ibadan Chapter, Dr. Olusegun Ajiboye, while addressing newsmen regarding the fund.

He explained that the 2009 agreement was not restricted to the Federal Universities alone, adding that the struggle for the implementation of the 2009 agreement to develop infrastructure facilities in the universities was jointly done and the fund would be used by all.

Ajiboye stated that full academic activities had resumed since the Federal Government had granted their demands by signing the memorandum of understanding.
