The Ondo State PDP Youth leader Prince Adebayo Abayomi, says, the APC propaganda mechanism has caused more embarrassments than appeal to the sensibility of Nigerian youths.
Speaking in a chat on CEOAFRICA Online TV programme, “Community Today” on Tuesday 30th January 2018, Abayomi the Ondo State PDP Youth Leader, said the party’s 2019 campaign would be based on issues and not propaganda.
“PDP lost in 2015 not because of the people’s perception of the party, but because of the impression created by the likes of Obasanjo and the lies peddled by APC, making “Change” mantra look so idealistic and catchy.”
Stating that APC is just a party of strange birds’ fellow whose interest is just grab power, he stressed that everything about APC is scam “a conjecture made into deceiving Nigeria,”. APC has no programme for Nigerians.
“Imagine a party that its ministers and governors are busy doing campaign even when people are being brutally killed by herdsmen in Benue and other parts of the country on daily basis and none of the perpetrators has been brought to book.
He called on Nigerians to be prepared for the outcome/implication of the mayhem perpetrated in Benue state by herdsmen noting that Benue is the food basket of the Nation.
Explaining that President Muhammadu Buhari’s unguided rhetoric and uncultured body language is the cause of Nigeria’s Economic Recession, he said, no wise investor will come and invest in a country where its President has said that corruption and armed robbery is prevalent.
According to Abayomi, during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, the ministerial appointees were technocrats and intellectuals who knows their onion and worked as a team to make Nigeria the best economy in Africa as at then. He noted that the Former Finance Minister, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iwuala, is the brain behind the bailout fund that our governors are sharing today.
“PDP had government with Policy Plan and Economic Blueprint, SEED and NEED are part of the Economic Blueprint used by the government to remove fraud from fertilizer subsidy through the digital E-wallet, whereby a farmer do not need a middle man to get fertilizer.
“U-win it’s all about having an idea, bring up your concept then the government will help you to establish. These economic blueprints cannot be compared with this present administrations N-power which is more or less useless venture,” he said.
Expressing his opinion about the present administrations fight against corruption, the youth leader emphasized that the fight is loop sided and it’s a plough to witch-hunt PDP members saying that “He who wants to go to equity, should go with clean hands,” he advised the President Muhammadu led administration to fight corruption justly.
“It is on record, Chief Bode George, the former Vice Chairman South West PDP was jailed for 2 years regarding corrupt practices under PDP led administration but no APC member even when indicted, has been jailed.”
Reacting to the question if Buhari will concede if he loses in 2019 election, the youth leader said, “President Buhari is not a democrat, he doesn’t belief in federal character and his government is based on nepotism,” but the truth remains that, the politicians form just five per cent of the voters so the masses has to decide come 2019 and he has no choice than to concede.
