Oyo PDP Secretary, Mr. Adelabu Alaba
NIGERIA (Oyo)- The General Secretary of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State Mr. Adelabu Alaba, has frowned at the wrong notion carried by some anti- PDP who misinterpreted the token given to the party in the state by President Goodluck Jonathan during the Yuletide season as “tearing the party apart”.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with CEOAFRICA correspondent on Monday, Mr. Alaba said the money is just like “a gift from father to his family, but the party decides not to use the money to promote the interest of the party in Oyo State.”
While shedding more light on the issue, Mr. Alaba said: “President Goodluck Jonathan gave us the money due to our sincerity and because we were like abandoned orphans.
“However, the minister released the money to wrong hands due to the absence of our superior leader in person of Alhaji Yekini Adeojo during the Xmas period but all well and good the situation has been normalized.”
He told CEOAFRICA correspondent that there is no faction in the party, although he agreed that there are various groups with loyalty, but added that they are all one party.
He urged various aspirants from the party to come to lime light as a way of saving the party from internal rifts.
While commenting on the performance of the current administration in the state under the leadership of Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Alaba described it as “window dressing,” but assured the people of better governance under PDP come 2015.
