NIGERIA (Oyo)- Former Secretary of the Nigeria Union Of Teachers in Oyo State, Comrade Olu  Abiala, has described teachers as people who are mentally oriented  in terms of manipulation of power to the advantages of the majority.

This was said today in an exclusive interview with CEOAFRICA at the Nigeria Labour Congress  House, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Abiala, who has indicated his interest to compete the governorship poll in the state come 2015 under the platform of the Labour Party, said the people of Oyo State, particularly teachers, will vote for a leader who would guide their thoughts with honesty and integrity.

According to him, “teachers belong to the middle class, but they are not mentally poor. Most of the graduates are unemployed which is affecting the society and the nation as a whole, compared to other countries.”

He stressed further that education in Oyo State has been in a pillory and bastardized situation, while his aims, if given the mandate to rule the people of Oyo State in 2015, is to give more educational opportunities to many children and energize the youths.
