The Croatia Football Federation have confirmed they are in talks with the Nigeria Football Federation for a pre-FIFA World Cup international friendly game between Vatreni (Fiery boys) of Croatia and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Tomislav Pacak,media officer of the federation told Complete Sports in an e-mail message that talks are on-going between the two federations. 'We are still in negotiations with Nigerian FA regarding this match. If/once it is confirmed, we will publish an article on our website,'wrote Pacak in the e-mail response to our enquiry regarding the match tentaively billed to hold in late May.

The Nigeria Football Federation have also confirmed they are in talks with an unnamed country for a friendly match before the Eagles jet out to the USA at the end of May for their pre-FIFA World Cup training base.

'The NFF are in talks with a European country for a match on May 27 either here in Nigeria or somewhere in Europe for the Super Eagles before they leave for their training camp in the USA,'revealed the federation's general secretary,barrister Musa Ahmadu
