According to report reaching the news desk of CEOAFRICA.com, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Nigeria, has confirmed the registration of All Progressive Congress (APC).

According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the commission, Abdullahi A. Kaugama, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), which merged together in forming the new party, had met all statutory requirements for their application.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the application by three political parties –– to merge into one, to be known as the All Progressives Congress,” he said.

Meanwhile, the individual certificates of the applicant parties have been withdrawn, and a single certificate issued in the name of the All Progressives Congress.
