Chrisland university pioneer registrar buried amid tears

It was a very sad moment as the pioneer registrar of Chrisland University, Abeokuta Late Mr. Elvis Abiodun Lawal, who died on the 26th April 2018 was laid to rest yesterday being 11th May, 2018.

The final burial was graced by academia and other personalities from all walks of life, among whom are the Chrisland University VC, Prof (Mrs) Chinedum Peace Babalola, the pro-Chancellor, Emeritus Prof J.A. Adekanye, Staffs and Students of the University.

Also in attendance are some dignitaries from Bowen University, Members of Baptist Church, Childhood Friends, Families and Well Wishers.

“An Irreplaceable Loss”; Prof (Mrs) Chinedum Peace Babalola (Chrisland University Vice Chancellor)

The VC of Chrisland university, Prof. Mrs Chinedum Peace Babalola while delivering a speech described Late Mr Elvis as a man who was extremely loyal and never broke the rank, the right man in the office, kind-hearted, loving, caring, fatherly, committed to work, music-loving man, to mention but a few.

Babalola further said that the university has lost a great man who has left glowing marks, and she promised that the university will make him proud.

Speaking with some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion, Dr Kola Tegbe, a friend, classmate and a playmate to Late Mr Elvis, described his death as a great lost to his family and the community at large.

Master Mark Peter, a student of Chrisland University described Late Mr Lawale as a wonderful man, a very rare kind of person, someone who makes dream come true, always making things possible. He also praised him for what he did for the students of the University concerning their school anthem. Peter said that he will personally miss him. He encouraged other students to look forward to walking on the footsteps of a man like Mr Elvis and by so doing, the world will be a wonderful place.

Mr Kunle Alaye, one of the Chrisland Unversity Lecturers, speaking with CEOAfrica.

Mr Kunle Alaye, a lecturer in the department of political science, history and international relations at Chrisland university also described Mr Lawale as a complete gentle man who demonstrated his esteem professionalism to actually bring up the university. He said Mr Lawale is someone who uses styles to get things done, he therefore encouraged the management and students of the university to emulate the great virtues he left behind.
