As the general elections draw nearer, the quest for Agodi Government House is getting hotter by the day as the former Senator representing Oyo Central, Sen. Ayoade Adedamola Adeseun officially declared his intention to run for the 2019 Oyo State governorship election, explaining that he is the best candidate for the office.

He made this known on Saturday during an interview with CEOAfrica at his Ibadan residence.

He said, “I served as a local government Chairman twice, state chairman of Oyo APP in 1998, chairman Oyo state transport cooperation. I have also served as a lawmaker twice and then as a member of Senate, so I have seen it all.”

He also assured Nigerians of better governance under the leadership of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) come 2019.

Senator Adeseun said, “PDP is absolutely ready for 2019, we led this country for 16 years in this new era and of course we made some terrible mistakes along the line, in fact we got so complacent at a point that we thought we were God, we’ve made terrible mistakes in the past, it was a good thing we lost in 2015 and that Buhari came in to the saddle of governance because when government takes the electorate for granted, there’s is bound to be change just that the change we expected is not what we are presently experiencing. We have learnt from our past mistakes and we are ready to right our wrongs. Comparing our performance with APC, the difference is clear, we are far ahead and we are still going to perform much better than the 16 years, so Nigerians can look forward to a better governance come 2019 under the leadership of PDP”.
