Another attack by the Fulani herdsmen during the weekend left eight people dead including a baby in Kwande local government of Benue state.

The suspected herdsmen set fire on a hut where the parents of the babies lived. Two of the babies were seriously burnt. One of them unfortunately died in the hospital. 

Confirming the attack, chairman of the local council, Terdoor Kenti, said ''I got a phone call that herdsmen have attacked a village in Kwande local government council. When I got there, I discovered they slayed 7 people, houses were burnt and two small babies were burnt in a hut. Seven of them were seriously injured. I brought them to the hospital for medical treatment. It is unfortunate that one of the 1-year-old baby brought here has just given up.''
