Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has come under serious backlash after a tweet from him, condemning President Muhammadu Buhari for undertaking the medical bills of a blind corps member.

Atiku, who in one tweet hailed the president for undertaking the corps member’s medical bills, also fired shots at the president for not investing the money used to fund medical tourism on the healthcare sector.

Atiku,  in his tweet wrote:

“I commend @NGRPresident @MBuhari for paying medical bills of a blind corps member 5 months to the 2019 election, but I remind him that if he had invested the public funds he spends on his London medicals on public healthcare, he wouldn’t need to do”

The tweet immediately sparked annoyance amongst many Nigerians as they threw all sorts of jabs at the presidential aspirant.

They asked what he was able to achieve in his 8 years as Nigeria’s vice president. Some even teased him for hailing and wailing in just one tweet.
