Traditional rulers in Olokoro community, Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State have decried the security situation in the community.

They called on the senator representing Abia Central Theodore Orji to help restore calm to the area.

Speaking with reporters after Orji’s senator’s visit, Eze Godfrey Onwuka, who is also the Chairman, Traditional Rulers Council, Umuahia South LGA, lamented the security problems in the area.

On what they had done to rebuild  the burnt  police post in the community, he said, “We met and observed that a police post would not work again in Olokoro, since there is no adequate facilities on  the ground , so we decided to go for a divisional police station.”
