The Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has urged  President Muhammadu Buhari  to make certain release of the last of the Dapchi School girls, Leah Sharibu,  being held in captivity by Boko Haram.

The church made the demand when its leaders met with  Buhari in Abuja on Friday.

His Most Eminence, Prophet Solomon  Alao, who led the group to the Presidential Villa, advised Buhari to sustain the war against corruption.

Alao said, “We anticipate that corruption, which is killing Nigeria, may fight back, but you will prevail because the majority of Nigerians are with you.”

The Christian group recalled that Sharibu’s only offence was refusing to renounce her Christian when members of the sect demanded so of her.

Alao also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to guarantee a level playing field for all candidates during the elections.

He also called on the Federal Government to consider the clamour for restructuring of the country.

Buhari told the church that with its  prayers, he would win the February 16 election.

“I am very grateful for this visit,” a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, quoted Buhari as telling the visitors.

The President said he was elated that the church had identified with his administration’s efforts in the past four years to bring about a better Nigeria.
