Jomo Kenyatta Airport During the Fire Incident
Following the fire incident that happened at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport last Wednesday, Cabinet Secretary for Transport Engineer Michael Kamau has disclosed that normal operation would resume today.
CEOAFRICA.com gathered that Mr. Kamau made it known that necessary measures has been put in place to ensure resumption of operation at the airport. He said that a temporary terminal with a capacity to handle 1.5 million passengers will be set up soon to ease of clearance and movement of passengers, while the work will likely be completed on the Terminal 4 by March next year.
While commending the efforts of the emergency services personnel in putting out the fire, Kamau refused to comment on the cause of the fire urging people not to speculate and instead wait for the outcome of investigations currently ongoing.
