NURTW: Chief Iman’s House turns battle ground

Some hoodlums identified as Fele boys attacked the former NURTW chairman, Alh. Lateef Akinsola a.k.a Tokyo, yesterday at about 1:55pm, at the Chief Imam’s resident around Agbeni Mapo area of Ibadan.

The former NURTW chairman popularly known as Tokyo and some of his boys on a visit to the Chief Imam in his house yesterday at Agbeni area, Mapo ibadan, were reportedly attacked with machete, bottles by one Afeez and his gangs who happen to be the current NURTW Chairman, Alh. Taofeek Oyerinde's boys.

CEOAFRICA gathered from our source that Chief Imam's wife alerted the Police at Mapo Station through a phone call. Five (5) of Tokyo boys who were injured are Bashiru Saheed, Akinsola Ridwan, Alani Adaramola, Agboola Rasak, laidi Akande, all from Akobo west.

No life was lost due to the quick intervention of the police, The Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor confirmed the incident, she said investigation is ongoing and that the Oyo State Police Command under the able leadership of CP. Muhammed Indabawa has vowed to fish out the culprit wherever they might be hiding, and make them face the full wrath of the law, so as to serve as lesson to others.

Meanwhile, members of the public who are resident in Ibadan have called on State government to quickly nip this orgy of violence in the bud as its capable of throwing the State into chaos. “The State government is expected to issue a statement condemning the unprovoked attack”, said Alfa Rilwan,  a public Affair Analyst.
