Oyo Police arrests five robbers with 6 posh cars

The cliché "All days for the thief, one day for the owner" aptly describes the arrest of 5-man robbery gang at kano state whose names includes: Issah Mohammed 37years, Yusuf Ibrahim 45years, Mohammed Mustaphar 25years, Moruf Bello 35years, Abdulaziz Adamu 43years, who were the receivers of vehicle snatched from Oyo and Ibadan.

It had been earlier reported on 1st October 2013, at about 10:15pm, by one Alaka Fatai of the Federal College of Education (special) Oyo at special anti- robbery squad (SARS) office Oyo/Ogbomosho annex that on the same date at 9:00pm around kosobo area Oyo town, his toyota camry with registration number ABC 761 AE, black in colour was snatched At gun point by four armed men, but all effort by the SARS prove abortive.

Furthermore On 17th April 2014, Akinkunmi Olatide and Uwatse Samson were arrested in another armed robbery operation and confessed to be members of armed robbery syndicate that have been terrorising Oyo, Ogbomosho and Ibadan metropolis snatching expensive cars at gun point. Presently, they are at prison custody.

Olatide and Samson confessed that "the gang leaders are Oluwole Makinde and Oyelade Olamilekan a.k.a Alex, but have relocated to Kano State on discovering police are on their trail, and our major receivers are based in kano and kaduna states".

Based on this information, SARS operatives proceeded to kano state where the following stolen vehicles were recovered from the armed robbers. A Toyota Matrix reg no: LND 86 BD blue in colour, Unregistered Toyota Camry black colour, Toyota Highlander jeep reg no. APP 781 AZ wine colour, Honda Odyssey reg no. APP 264 CQ grey colour, unregistered Toyota Highlander white, Toyota Camry reg no. KMC 61 PW black, Honda Civic reg no. FS 631 KJA black.

Major receivers and some of their owners have since identified.

One of the suspects, Moruf Bello pleaded guilty and promised not to go into such venture if justice is been tamper with mercy.

The Oyo state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Indabawa warns others that are still out there to watch their back, because soon they will be apprehend. In same vein, he promised the general public to be rest assured that no stone will be left unturned.
