The Federal Government has extradited the mastermind of the April 14 Nyanya bomb blast, Aminu Sadiq Oguche.

Oguche was presented to newsmen at the presidential wing of Nnamdi International Airport, Abuja at about 3pm. He was brought to the country from Sudan in a chattered flight.

Speaking to journalists, Coordinator of the National Information Centre, Mike Omeri, said: “Sadiq Aminu Oguche, one of the wanted persons in connection with the Nyanya bomb blast, we want to let you know, and this is the evidence, that we have been able to secure his extradition from Sudan to his home country to answer questions.”

On the next step forward, Omeri said: “of course, the usual procedure will take place, he will be interrogated and charged to court when all the processes are concluded.”

He assured that the government is taking steps to trap other suspects on the wanted lists, stressing, “as promised, once we are there, we will get you informed.

“The fight against insurgency and efforts to bring our girls back is top priority of the government of Nigeria.

“Besides that, this is also evidence that the armed forces of Nigeria and other security agencies are working hard to put the security challenges behind us as a nation.

“Therefore, it is time for all of us to come together, stand with our government, stand with our armed forces and security services so that we can build full united, progressive and prosperous country.”
