The Lagos State government through the Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr. Jide Idris has appealed to striking medical doctors to call off their strike and resume work so as to help government control the spread of the deadly Ebola disease which has some persons in the state.

The Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr. Jide Idris, who made this appeal at a press conference in Lagos on Wednesday, also called for volunteers, explaining that more hands are needed to take care of infected patients and to track those who had contact with victims.

He assured the doctors that government is ready to do anything to meet the demands of the health volunteers, as their safety would be governments’ priority.
