Student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State took to the street to protest the increment of their school fee.

Over 1000 students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State are currently heading to Oke Mosan to protest against a hike in its tuition fee to N176, 000 by the Ogun State government.

The Ogun State governor had earlier announced a reduction in the tuition fees of all tertiary institutions owned by the state. the governor announced that medical students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), who had been paying N301,610 would now pay as low as N176,596, 41.4 per cent reduction, while students of the Faculty of Arts would be paying N81,112 instead of the current fee of N126,540, which is a 35.9 per cent reduction.

The increment as well as the reduction that followed did not go down well with the students and this led to the protest
