As part of its efforts to sustain the relative peace in Oyo State, Nigeria and to encourage the effort of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu on Community Policing through the crime fighting Commissioner of Police, CP Shina T Olukolu and other sister agencies in the State. The Nigeria Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Oyo State Command on Friday, 27th Feb. 2020 paid a courtesy visit to the GOC, 2 Division of Nigerian Army Headquarters, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan.
The visit which was led by the Oyo State Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Chairman Rev. Peter Omofoye together with his executive was to seek partnership with the Military on security .Omofoye said “our visit is to synegize with you, to partner with you on security so that it may be easier for your men to work”.
On his part, Major General Anthony Bamidele Omozoje, General Officer Commanding , 2 Division of Nigerian Army, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan, who appreciated the visit and described PCRC as a tool that enable the community to be involved in the policing efforts that is very critical to providing security to our territory as a nation.
He promised to encourage the commandants in and outside Ibadan to connect with PCRC.
