An Islamic scholar, Sheikh (Dr.) Muhydeen Ajani Bello has congratulated the entire Muslims faithful on the occasion of the new Hijra year, 1442 A.H.

This was contained in his Jumaat sermon, at SkeikhMuhydeen Ajani Bello Islamic Foundation (SMABIF) Central Mosque, Akobo, Ibadan.

The cleric urged Muslims all over the world to imbibe the lessons of the Hijra, and to remain steadfast on the path of Islam, while ensuring they give gratitude to the Almighty for being alive up till this moment.

“The occasion of the Hijrah yet another opportunity to reiterate the core lessons of Islam, especially as regards love, peace and unity,” he said.

At the Friday sermon is the Imam of Iwoland, AlhajiFatai, who doubles as the representative of His Royal Majesty, Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi.

He prayed for peace in Nigeria and sought Allah’s guidance and protection, especially in this time of COVID-19 pandemic.

Also, the Imam of SMADIF Central Mosque, Alhaji Abdul Fatai Agbaje charges Muslim to rededicate themselves to God as Muslim celebrate the new year.
