Two members of the newly raised committees by the Chris Giwa-led Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have declined to serve because they do not want to associate themselves with the alleged illegality currently holding sway in the Glass House.

Former Nigeria Football Association (NFA) chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima who was listed to serve in the reconciliatory committee and the current acting Chairman of the Club Owners Association, Isaac Danladi who is in the committee named to replace the suspended League Management Company (LMC) have both told Goal they won’t be honouring the invitation.

Alhaji Galadima said that he had not been briefed about being a member of any committee and that he was just hearing of the development from the reporter.

The former NFA boss hinted that even if he were to be briefed it would have been very impossible for him to honour it stating that the body that set up the reconciliatory committee was not neutral enough in the whole process.

He said that for the fact the body that set it up is also part of those to be held series of meetings with in order to get the desired results, the reconciliatory committee members’ hands would be tight as to what should be the line of action if it were not to favour the NFF under Chris Giwa.

“I have not been told of anything like that and in fact, I am just hearing it from you. Who set up the committee? How can there be fairness in that regard? I have not been briefed and I don’t think I will have anything to do with it,” Galadima told Goal.

The acting Chairman of the Club Owners’ Association, Isaac Danladi also asked that his name should be removed from the list of the committee members appointed to oversee the remainder of the league season after the suspension of the LMC.
