Social Media Overlords Take Note – Man Faces Court For Negative Comments About Governor

Wasiu Ogunnoiki, a 31-year-old man has been arraigned for posting unflattering comments about the Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun on his Facebook page.

Ogunnoiki was arraigned on Tuesday, 2 September, before a Magistrate’s court in Sagamu.

He allegedly posted a message on saying that the state Governor had demolished the houses of some citizens without compensating them accordingly.

Ogunnoiki also put up the photograph of the APC Chairman in Sagamu Local Government, Femi Felix Kafar on Facebook.

He claimed that the man has colluded with members of ‘Labor party in the state to impeach Amosun before the 2015 general elections.

Ogunnoiki pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr O.O. Ojo granted him bail in the sum of N400,000, with two sureties in like sum, while also adjourning the case till 5 December.
