Promoted National Assembly poor run in the second half of the 2014 season continued on Wednesday when they rallied snatch a point away to Green Buffaloes.

Assembly fought back to draw 2-2 with Buffaloes in a rescheduled Week 22 game played at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

The result left Assembly still in stuttering form in the second half of the season in which they have picked up just one win from their last seven games since returning from the mid-season break on July 19.

Kennedy Chola put Buffaloes ahead in the 18th minute from the penalty spot before Sebastian Mwansa extended their lead in the 30th minute.

Peter Mwangani pulled one back five minutes before the break to see the two sides go 2-1 into halftime.

Mwangani completed his brace in the 50th minute to hand Assembly their second draw since July 19 in a period in which they have pick up just one win.

Assembly, who had picked up five wins and six draws in the first half of the season, stay put in 11th place on 26 points ahead of Sunday’s home game in Lusaka against second placed Zesco United at the same venue.

Buffaloes also stand still in 12th place and one point behind Assembly with 25 points from 22 games played.
