Amnesty calls for Sowore’s release

The Global rights group, Amnesty International, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to release the Sahara Reporter’s publisher and activist, Omoyele Sowore and the other four activists who were detained in the Kuje Correctional Centre.

In a tweet by @AmnestyNigeria on Tuesday, it is stated that “Nigerian authorities must immediately and unconditionally release activist Omoyele Sowore and other activists, who were arrested by the police during a New Year’s Eve peaceful protest in Abuja.”
