The Senate has called on the Federal Government to direct officials of the National Emergency Management Agency and Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, to bring back the people of Yewa, Ogun State who relocated to the Republic of Benin.

The call was raised on Wednesday the Senator representing Ogun West, Tolu Odebiyi, during the Senate plenary.

It was disclosed that some of the residents of Yewa fled to Benin Republic due to the incessant herdsmen attacks on their communities.

The upper house also mandated relevant security agencies to restore law and order in the troubled communities.
