Gunmen, who abducted 39 students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in the Mando Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have demanded N500 million for the release of the students.

The bandits made the demand in videos they released through one of the abducted students’ Facebook account.

Kaduna State Government had announced that the kidnapped students comprise 23 females and 16 males.

In the released videos, one of the victims appealed to the Federal Government and Kaduna State Government to respond to the demand of the kidnappers.

The student also said the kidnappers threatened to take their lives should the government try to deploy troops to their location.
