Saturday, 12th June 2021: The Deputy National President of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, (FOBTOB), Comrade Adebayo Aderogba, on Saturday noted that freedom often come with struggle and that was what Nigeria achieved in the story of June 12.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with CEOAFRICA, Comrade Aderogba said June 12, 1993 would continue to be another watershed in the annals of history of our dear nation, Nigeria.

According to him, “around this time in 1993, the freest election we can laid claim as a nation was annulled by General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, and ever since the nation do not have peace, harsh economic conditions, grave insecurity characterised by insurgency, banditry, Boko Haram, IPOB/ESN crisis, name it,”

He said the country needs to “retrace her step for the enduring peace we are envisaging to be ours.”

According to him, “The change we required starts from me and you at our individual level, let’s make Nigeria great, together we can, me and you; Yes, we can.”

Comrade Aderogba concluded by wishing Nigerians especially members of FOBTOB, a happy Democracy Day.
