COVID-19: FCAH&PT provost, Owosibo orders compulsory test for college staff, ask Nigerians to join hands in the fight against the pandemic

FRIDAY- 3rd September, 2021: In his effort towards contributing in the fight against the COVID- 19 pandemic, the Provost, Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAH&PT), Dr. A.O. Owosibo has ordered compulsory test on the management and staff of the college.

The test which was carried out on entire staff was in preparation for the school resumption.

Recall that CEOAFRICA had earlier reported that the school resumed its activities on Monday, 30th August, 2021, for 2021/2022 academic session.

In a chat with CEOAFRICA after the test, Owosibo commended the active participation of the staff, stating that the testing became necessary in order to curb the spread of the virus as the college resumed for new academic session.

He said, “In an effort to mitigate the spread of covid-19 during this pandemic era, management of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Moor Plantation, Ibadan has conducted Swab covid-19 test for staff of the institution

“COVID-19 is spreading quickly, infecting unprotected and vulnerable people and steadily putting pressure back on health systems.”

Speaking further, the provost urged all Nigerians to ensure strict adherence to public health and social measures already in place to curb the spread of the virus.
