Tuesday 5th Oct.2021: The President of David Umahi Nweze Akubaraoha Ebonyi Transformation Agenda (DUNAETA) and former Technical Assistant on media to the Governor of Ebonyi state,Lady Monica Chidinma Eze has congratulated Governor David Umahi as Nigeria celebrates her 61st independent ceremony and Ebonyi states 25th anniversary of its creation.
She made this declaration through a release where she described the current dispensation in the life of Ebonyi state and her people as a period of triple celebrations.
Celebration of the 61st independence anniversary of Nigeria,25th anniversary of the state and the creation of modern Ebonyi state under the visionary and innovative leadership of Engr. David Umahi according to the dreams of its founding fathers.
Describing the Governor as an enigma,outstanding administrator,a visionary, emancipator and a Godsent individual to change the fortunes of Ebonyi people for good,Lady Chidinma opined that at 25 Ebonyi State not minding the backwardness of past administrations has come of age to take its rightful position among the comity of states in Nigeria courtesy of the remarkable impacts and innovative leadership of the Governor.
While giving a score card of the achievements of Gov.Umahi such as the completion of ‘The Ecumenical Centre’,the international market and motor parks,roads construction, electrification of the state,Youth and widows empowerments and the water scheme being developed in the state, She further stated that if what makes a state modern are the provision of quality and drinkable water and all other major development strides achieved within 6 years in office of his Excellency then he is truly the catalyst and creator modern Ebonyi State.
The former Technical adviser to the governor on media concluded by giving special commendation and thanks to the late Head of State General Sani Abacha for his foresight in the creation of Ebonyi State 25 years ago stressing that Umahis zeal to transform the state was born out the experience gathered as both chairman of PDP in the state and Deputy governor.
Commenting on Umahi and National politics,the journalist and publisher was quick to note that if access to power is based on the feats and capability of leaders to turn a seemingly dark age to a very bright future that Engr. David Umahi is now fully prepared for a higher position in the politics of Nigeria stressing that his Presidency becomes imperative particularly now that based on equity and fairness Nigerians are of the view that the next president must come from Igbo extraction
