Monday 13th December 2021: Popularly Yoruba Dancer and actor, Femi Ajewole, known as Alfa Sule by many, came into limelight many years ago as the founder of the Christ Chosen Vessel Dance Drama Ministry, which had his younger brother, Ayo Ajewole (Woli Agba) as a member. 

The group was popular for making dance drama videos and presenting performances with One of the groups’ most famous works being Alfa Sule, with the catch-phrase, ‘O ti gan pa’.
However, while Woli Agba moved on and has become a successful social media content creator, not much has been heard from the elder Ajewole.
Founder of the group Alfa Sule however still maintains that dance drama is still enjoyed by many. 
He disclosed this in a recent interview saying, “I refuse to subscribe to the notion that dance drama is fizzling out and people have moved on to comedy skits online. There is nothing like that, and it is not about the noise but it is about being a voice. That we are not seen making skits on social media does not mean people have moved away (from us) because we still get many invitations to minister in churches, schools, birthday parties and other functions. Also, the effectiveness of live ministrations cannot be compared to videos. Nevertheless, for the benefit of reaching more people across the world, we would put in more effort to make our movies available on social media. Audiences are made up of different people with different tastes. I have not seen anyone who is accepted by all and sundry because no one can satisfy everybody. I believe it is only a few people that are complaining and some of them don’t even follow our works. As a matter of fact, one of our works is ‘trending’ on YouTube.

 “It is very important to understand one’s purpose. Once you understand your purpose, you would not try to be someone else. Our ministry does more movies than skits because of the purpose of the group and the unique gift given to us by God. Most skits are made to make people laugh and be happy but what God has given to my ministry is beyond just making people happy, but to give them joy. Happiness will only last for a while but joy is long-lasting.”
He also maintained that never went on a break. He said, “We did not go on a break. We have been very busy doing drama ministration from one place to the other. The reason many thought we went on break was because we did not operate on social media like we are doing now. I think it is a good idea to make more social media skits because social media is a good platform to reach lots of people, within and outside the country, and we are working on it. That is why we have put some of our works on YouTube though I think we need to put in more efforts.”
