Thursday 23 December 2021: Nollywood veteran actor, Sam Obiago, popularly known as Daddy Sam, is dead.
National President of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas announced his death on Thursday.
Sharing a picture of the deceased on his Instagram page, Rollas wrote, ‘Another sad day. RIP Daddy Sam.”

The cause and time of his death was not revealed in the announcement.
Nollywood stars have taken to their Instagram pages to mourn the veteran actor following the announcement.
Actress Destiny Etiko wrote with crying emojis, “Noooo. Daddy Sam.”
