Chrisland University, Abeokuta, one of the leading private universities in Nigeria has gotten the approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run Law program in the institution.

This was announced by the award winning vice chancellor of the university Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAS

While commenting on the success of the accreditation, the VC noted that Chrisland University, by gaining accreditation status to run Law program is fulfilling her vision of becoming a world-class University renowned for intellectual freedom, ethical standards, research, community service and outstanding training of a new generation of leaders.

The AU laureate while speaking with CEOAFRICA said “I received the good news today. I am overwhelmed with joy and great gratitude to God Almighty who did not allow our efforts to be in vain. To God be the glory for what He has done!!! “

Speaking further, the Vice-Chancellor stated that the approval was based on adequate resources provided by the University, adding that the approval came after the authorities of the NUC undertook diligent assessment of its facilities and lecturers for the College of Law.

Prof Babalola noted that in pursuit of the expansion of the number of academic programmes currently being run in the University, it becomes vital for the institution to contribute its quota to qualitative training of lawyers in Nigeria.

Going down memory lane, the erudite professor said the NUC approval remains an icing crowning the painstaking efforts of the University over the past four years to actualize its dreams.

Prof Chinedum used the opportunity to appreciate the Chancellor of the University, High Chief Dr. Mrs. Winifred Awosika, OON, the Board of Trustees, the Governing Council, the faculty and the University Community for their cooperation and support to the university management in sustaining a conducive environment for learning. she urged them to channel all efforts toward putting the university on a global map through innovation and intellectual excellence.

The VC reinstated management commitment and determination to leave no stone unturned towards creating a learning environment that nurtures a sound moral and intellectual culture that attracts an excellent blend of faculty from across the world, and deploys resource to educate the total person.

Recall that CEOAFRICA earlier reported how Chrisland University under the leadership of Prof Chinedum Babalola as the Vice Chancellor had been gaining 100% accreditation of all courses the university ever presented to NUC for accreditation.

List of accredited courses are Accounting, Biochemistry, Business Administration , Chemistry, Computer Science, Criminology, Mass Communication, International Relations, Banking and Finance , Software Engineering (BSc),Cyber Security (BSc), Criminology and Security Studies,, Economics, Industrial Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Biotechnology (BSc),Statistics (BSc),Industrial Mathematics (BSc) , Physics with Electronics (BSc), Nursing Science (BNSc) ,Public Health (BSc), Physics, Political Science and Biology
