CP Adebowale replaces AIG Ngozi Onadeko as Oyo Police Command Commissioner of Police

CP Adebowale Williams has assumed duty as the Oyo State 44th Commissioner of Police.

CP Adebowale replaced AIG Ngozi Onadeko, fdc who now takes charge of police armament. This was contained in a statement dated 23rd June, 2022 and signed by SP. Adewale Osifeso Anipr, the Oyo State police public relations officer.

Adebowale Williams who hails from Akure North L.G.A of Ondo State was enlisted into the Nigerian Police force on the 18th of May, 1992.

He has a record of 30 years stellar working experience which cuts across administration, intelligence, operations and public relations.

According to the statement, Adebowale worked in Enugu state after he was commissioned in 1993 and later became the state public relations officer.

Before his new appointment, he was commander special Anti-Robbery Squad and 2i/c special enquiry bureau, Area commander kontagora Niger State, Director Professional Studies police staff college Jos, and FCID Annex Gombe State. His Leadership qualities in these capacities earned him membership at the operational peace-keeping mission functions in Kosovo, Sierra Leone and East Timor.

In Academics, CP Adebowale holds a B.sc in Political Science, M.sc in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, and an LLB in Law. He is also a fellow of the National Defence College and a distinguished member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.
