EFCC partners with Army on fight against Terrorism funding

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Army has agreed to tackle terrorism financing.
The EFCC Chairman Abdulrasheed Bawa who disclosed this while addressing officers of the Nigerian Army School of Artillery in Kachia, Kaduna State noted that the Commission is ready to collaborate with the Army on Intelligence sharing and capacity building.
Bawa who was represented by the Kaduna Zonal Commander Harry Erin said the Commission is the lead Agency in investigating and prosecuting Terrorism financing as the Military and other Security Agencies must do everything in their power to obstruct the source of funding of terrorists and identify their sponsors.
The EFCC Boss emphasised that modern warfare is beyond kinetics and exchange of gunfire.
The Deputy Commandant of the Army School, Brigadier General Emmanuel Zakari Karau in his remarks appreciated the EFCC for its efforts to block the funding of insurgents.
