The Chairman, Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) Segun Oladitan, has said the commission will follow the decision of the Court regarding the upcoming Local Government Election in the State.
The Commission had earlier scheduled October 15th, for the conduct of the Local Government Election in the State, but a Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, had given a Judgement for the Election not to hold in a suit filed by the Osun Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Oladitan, while speaking at the closing ceremony of the 5-day training for Electoral and assistant electoral officers in Osogbo, on Friday, said the commission is not bordered by the litigations against the poll.
He said; “When a warrior goes to war, he faces what he went there for. When we get to that river we will learn how to cross it.
“One thing I can assure is that the commission is going to abide by any pronouncement of a court of competent jurisdiction and we are not going to move away from it but we are fully prepared.''
