The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was absent on Thursday, as Presidential candidates of other political parties were physically present for the signing of the now-customary peace pact, ahead of the 2023 Election.
Tinubu was represented by his running mate, Kashim Shettima, at the event, which took place at the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja.
Major contenders in the Presidential race, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) were all present.
CEOAFRICA had earlier reported that Tinubu had travelled to London, United Kingdom.
The Peace accord was organised by the National Peace Committee and was chaired by the former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar and Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah.
