The German Defence Minister, Christine Lambrecht, has warned against taking Russia's nuclear threats in the Ukraine war with levity.
Lambrecht gave the warning on Wednesday, during The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Ministers’ meeting in Brussels.
She said; "It is very important that we take the threats made by Russia very seriously and that we adapt accordingly."
The NATO Ministers’ meeting was convened to discuss ways to tackle the threats issued by the Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
The consultations of the so-called nuclear planning group are usually secret.
Lambrecht, further asked for understanding that these deliberations are taking place in "internal, secret committees."
"But I can say we are prepared," she added.
