The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Zamfara chapter, Dr. Ahmed Sani Kaura, is dead.
Kaura died on Wednesday (today) after attending a peace meeting organized by the Nigeria Council of Ulamah, Zamfara state chapter.
This was disclosed by the Secretary of the party, Faruku Ahmed Gusau.
Gusau said the chairman slumped immediately he delivered a speech at the occasion.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital in Gusau where he was confirmed dead by the doctors.
The Nigeria Council of Ulamah is currently organizing a sensitisation meeting with all the political parties in the state on how to ensure the peaceful conduct of 2023 general elections.
The late chairman was 62 yrs old and he is survived by two wives and six children.
