The convoy of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was On Wednesday attacked in Maiduguri, Borno State, by suspected political thugs.
In a viral video on social media, a group of people were seen running in different directions as gunshots rent the air.
CEOAFRICA had reported that Atiku’s campaign train was in Maidugiri today, an All Progressives Congress (APC) State.
The Atiku campaign spokesperson, Dino Melaye alleged that the attack was orchestrated by the ruling APC.
He said; “They wanted to prevent us from holding the campaign; as we speak, 74 people were injured and hospitalized.’’
“Several vehicles were vandalised by APC thugs.”
The APC is yet to react to Melaye’s allegation.
