SOKOTO GOVERNMENT COMMISSIONS 20 MILLION GALLON WATER PROJECT FOR THE STATE

 The Sokoto State Governor, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has today, 29th August 2013, commissioned  20 million gallon water project in Sokoto state.

CEOAFRICA news desk has gathered that the water project commissioned was to give the people of Sokoto a  reasonable access to water supply as the state has been suffering drastic shortage of water supply.

Invited guest at this commissioning were, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator, Waziri Aminu Tambuwal, Speaker of the House of Representative, Honorable Commissioners, Special advisers and a number of Distinguished guest.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who was called upon for the commissioning said in his remark at that the water project is relevant for continuous survival of people in the community considering the arid nature of the state.

He congratulated the governor of the state for the very important development he has effected in the state.

Obasanjo however, call on Nigeria government and Nigeria people alike to join hands together in making Nigeria a successful country so as attain the development that will project Africa as the world leading economy.
