The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi has assured Nigerians that his administration will save for the future generation if he is elected as the next president.
The former Anambra State Governor disclosed this on Monday while addressing the claims about his stingy nature at the Chatham House in London, expressing that just as he was able to save and leave enough funds in the state coffers as a governor, and also build the health and education sector in Anambra state, he will also do so in the country if he becomes the next president.
Obi said, “Above all, I was able to save because I believe in the future generation. Future generation funding because we want to have proper capital formation to drive tomorrow.
“If I have the opportunity in Nigeria, no matter what we do, we will do the same thing, we must save for tomorrow because that is how you form capital. 
“So at the end, I appeal to all of you, there is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come. The time today is to have competent leadership with character, commitment and that is what Nigeria is yearning for. That is what I and Datti are offering you, let’s have a better opportunity to rebuild Nigeria. Thank you.”
