SCHAF begins awareness on Sickle Cell diseases

Sickle Cell Hope Alive Foundation, (SCHAF), will on Monday, September 25th, 2023 joins the United Nations to embark on Sensitization and Awareness about Sickle Cell Disease (SCD).

CEOAFRICA recalled that September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, designated by UN to help focus attention on the need for research and treatment of sickle cell disease.

Speaking, the founder Sickle Cell Hope Alive Foundation, Professor Adeyinka G. Falusi is an excellent opportunity described the declaration an excellent opportunity, which will be use to raise Awareness about Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and its impact on individuals, families, and our community in Nigeria.

According to her, the month will also help to focus attention on the need for improved care practices, new treatments, and research on sickle cell disease, nationally and internationally.

In a statement signed and made available to CEOAFRICA by SCHAF Program Manager II, this year, two unique events are outlined. The events are as follows:

Week 3: Monday, September 25th, 2023: Training workshop for Corp members in Oyo State on SCD and Point of Care Test

Venue: Ibadan North II NYSC Secretariat, Along Immigration Office, Ibadan, Oyo State Time: 10am

Week 4: September 27th, 2023: Mothers of Warriors in Action MoWA

Venue: Apex Event Centre, opposite Muslim Praying Ground, Yidi, Ibadan, Oyo State Time: 10am
