Lagos State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described as laughable and an obvious sign of fright and discomfort for All Progressives Congress (APC), the attempt by the party to decide its (PDP) governorship candidate.

The PDP said this on Tuesday, in reaction to a statement credited to the state APC publicity secretary, Mr Joe Igbokwe, who has informed that the former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, was more qualified than Agbaje to be PDP candidate for the governorship seat of Lagos State.

The PDP wondered why the APC has become a busy body in PDP’s affairs to be so worried about the rightful choice the PDP should elect as its candidate.

According to the party, in a statement made available by its publicity secretary, Mr Taofeek Gani, the choice of Agbaje at this time would no doubt end reign of APC in the state.

It said that was the reason the APC leadership in the state had continued to suffer from hallucinations since the emergence of Agbaje, who he described as “an unblemished personality.”

“We have elected our governorship candidate and find it funny that APC can preach to us on who ought to be our candidate. Obviously, Senator Obanikoro or any of our other aspirants is better than the best APC has presented.

“Their advice is, therefore, in bad faith, as they are our detractors. Indeed, the APC is now confirmed as being behind the violence that happened on the day of the governorship primaries, because they intended another choice for us,” the PDP said.
