Family, Friends, Colleagues eulogize Late Elder Iyennoma Igbinomwanhia Eghomwanre’s passing at 85

Testimonies of good deeds have followed the passing away of the Late Elder Iyennoma Igbinomwanhia Eghomwanre, who died at 85 years old.

Elder Eghomwanre was a retired Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) official and father of the  Pharm (Dr.) Amen Osamuyimen Eghomwanre. Dr. Amen Eghomwanre MCPAN (B.Pharm, Pharm.D, MBA, FPC Pharm, the deceased's first child, is a member of the Clinical Pharmacists Association of Nigeria (CPAN) and the Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria (NAIP).

Pharm Dr Amen described his father as a loving father who greatly loves people around him.

A Service of Songs hosted by the Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries, Anthony Zonal Headquarters, was held in honour of the committed Christian and philanthropist at Ade Adegbite Hall, Shepherdhill Baptist Church Compound, Obanikoro Bus Stop, Ikorodu Lagos on Monday,8th July 2024.

Speaking to CEOAFRICA at the service of songs event, the  daughter-in-law of the deceased, Dr Chindima Eghomwanre, described her father-in-law as a loving father who was always peaceful.

She continued that the late Elder Eghomwanre’s house was always peaceful, a testament to his peaceful nature. He was a man of prayer who accepted her without discrimination because she was from another tribe.

In his own words, the child of the deceased, Mr Esosa Eghomwanre, told CEOAFRICA that his father was a great and supportive parent who ensured quality education for his children. His commitment to education was unwavering, and he instilled the values of humility, hard work, and tenacity in his children.

A former NNPC official, the Pioneer Group General Manager of NAPIMS and boss to the deceased, Mr James Mavuaye Orife, characterised his late friend as diligent, disciplined, and focused, never missing his target. In his interview with CEOAFRICA, he urged the children to emulate their father’s legacy and not allow the good legacies to be tarnished.

Another colleague of the deceased and a Geophysicist, Mr Patrick Ilika, said Elder Eghomwanre was a man who stood by his words, was never aggressive, never took offence, and was a wonderful man to work with. He noted he could see the traces of his late friend’s character in the lives of his children and expressed hopes that they would continue to exhibit godly character.

As a member of societies, clubs, and groups such as the Edo Renaissance Club and Eghomwanre Union, the Late Eghomwanre was highly regarded as generous, compassionate, a leader and developer of talents, hospitable, and respectful. He lived an exemplary life, leaving a lasting impact on his community.

Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, Midwest Region 71, will coordinate the funeral service and interment for the late Elder Eghomwanre at his residence, 14 Izekor Street, off ChrisMerry/Iyoba Road, off Textile Mill Road, Benin City, by 4 p.m. on Friday, July 12th, 2024.

Reception and entertainment of guests will be held at Noah’s Ark Marquee (Former Emporium) JBS Estate, Off Boundary Road, GRA, Benin City, Edo State, by 11 am on Saturday,13th July 2024.
