The leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) said to have passed a vote of no confidence on President GoodLuck Jonathan alleging that the President lack the political will to revamp the education sector.
According to the statement, signed by its national president, Prince Miaphen, the administration failure to implement the 2009 agreement it reached with ASUU is a thing that is detrimental to the success of education in the system.
The statement reads in part, "We cannot watch in silence as our universities and other high institutions churn out half-baked graduates every year due to incessant strike. We cannot suffer in silence while individuals responsible for our travails send their own children to choice universities abroad.”
