CEOAFRICA entertainment news gathered that the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has issued a release across to media stations in the country to stop playing certain songs from Wizkid, Phyno and Maleek Berry.

It was revealed that embargo was placed on those songs because of indecent lyrics and visuals.

NBC, in a circular released this week, cited Phyno’s ‘Man of the year’ and Maleek Berry’s ‘The matter’ featuring Wizkid as major examples of songs they expect radio stations to cease from playing and advising them to ‘exhibit responsibility in choice of musicals’.

It would be recalled that NBC had placed a ban on eight videos which include PSquare (Alingo),      WandeCoal (Golow), Timaya (Bumbum), Flavour (Shake), D’Prince  (Take banana) , Goldie (Ski bobo) Chuddy K (Brazilian hair) and Tillaman (Koma roll).

The commission occasionally release strict warnings to radio and TV stations over music contents being aired on radio and TV media.
