All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain in Delta State, Jesutega Onokpasa, has backed up assertions by former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Solomon Edojah, claiming that APC governorship candidate for Delta, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, “remains the chief financier and motivator of the party in the state.

Addressing newsmen, yesterday, in Warri, Onokpasa faulted criticisms of Chief Edojah’s stance by a group he described as “mere hustlers for ministerial appointment they neither deserve nor are qualified for.”

He said: “Emerhor remains without a doubt the prime financier and chief motivator of our party and any assertions to the contrary are not only without basis but amount to a brazen display of unconscionable ingratitude.”

While accusing those claiming otherwise of “lending themselves as hatchet- men to Peoples Democratic Party moles that have infiltrated the APC,” Onokpasa insisted that Emerhor was not “just the party’s main sustainer but was a serial victim of political jobbers within the party, who took huge sums of money from him only to go out to the field to work for the PDP.”
